Hello to our Chippewa Valley Habitat for Humanity Supporters!
Hello! I am excited as this is my first attempt at “From the Directors Desk” as the new Executive Director for the Chippewa Valley Habitat for Humanity Affiliate.
We hope you enjoy this Newsletter!
We have been very busy with some very positive momentum; in the past 5 months we have started the affordable house building focus, as well as a “rebrand” of our mission.
We have also started to support others in their Critical Home Repair efforts, around the Chippewa Valley. This is exciting for us, and we are thankful for the opportunity.
Did you know that our Affiliate has been in the Chippewa Valley for 36 years? We have built 50 homes, repaired homes, and continued to sell goods at our ReStore. These 36 years have laid out the groundwork for us to be successful now and in the future.
Just like building a home, the ReStore is the foundation for our success. The items donated and sold help us achieve our purpose and mission. To Build Affordable Housing for those families that may have never thought was possible!
It really does take a village; we are very appreciative of any support. Whether it is volunteering, monetary, or sharing our mission, we appreciate it.
I am also excited to share that we are adding to our Staff. This is possible through varies Grant obtainment and AmeriCorps. We have a very lean staff, but when we can add quality people, it accelerates our ability to accomplish more.
I have an open-door policy and encourage conversation. If you want to learn more about us, please reach out to me.
Thank you for taking the time to read this!
